Once upon a time, there was a boy that loved to play airsoft. For him, it was more than just guns, he also liked the idea of setting up defensive measures like airsoft grenades to help him really get the advantage over his opponent. He knew that in order to beat his foe, he would have to know how he thought. And if he could predict and pattern his movements, he could lay airsoft grenade traps that would take out his enemy.

So what was the first thing that a boy like this would need to think about as he was plotting against his opponent? One of the first thoughts that came into his mind was the type of airsoft game they were involved in. He thought, well, I know we are playing capture the flag, and I know that there are only three spots where the enemy would likely try to come and steal his team’s flag.

After thinking about it, he decided to set airsoft claymore mines in two of the avenues by which the other team would come to grab their flag. Then he set one of his best men on point to guard the other path, tucked away under cover so that he could not be seen.

Unfortunately, the enemy was a little smarter than originally anticipated, and were able to get by the trip wire on one of the entry points. The guard did even see them coming, and they were able to quietly get towards the flag. Bang! The second claymore airsoft mine blew up, sending the small team of opponents out of the game. Meanwhile, the boy and his elite squadron were down at the other end of the airsoft field in a heated frontal assault of the opposing team near their flag.

Buried behind earth walls and trees, his elite force strategically moved until they had foiled the enemy. One dropped, then another fell out, and yet another one until the were all gone. Feeling pretty good about his victory, he took two of his best guys with him to grab the flag, and as he reached to grab it, pow! The soldier on his left was hit and taken out. He screamed for his last remaining man to cover him as he ran as fast as could with the flag. With BBs hitting everywhere around him, he dodged and dipped and ran until he made safely to the other side, and won the game.
